Your day to day itinerary Day 1: Arrive Chennai. Begin your tour Arrive into Chennai Welcome to your 'Religious South India' On arrival in Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 2: Chennai - Tirutani -Tiurpati Early morning after breakfast drive to Tirupati. Enroute visit Tiruthani Murugan temple is a Hindu Temple, in South India, dedicated to Lord Murga. It is one of the Arupadaiveedu, the six holy abodes of Lord Muruga. Reach Tirupati and check into your hotel . Later visit Tirupati temple, one of the most important & the richest temple of the world. It is famous for the shrine of "Seven hills" of Tirumala which attract millions of pilgrims from all over India. Picturesquely situated amidst sacred waterfalls and tanks, the shrine presents a fine example of early Dravidian art. In front of it is the "Hall of Pillars" from where an attractive stepped way leads to the temple. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 3: Tirupati - Kanchipuram -Mahabalipuram This morning after breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit Kanchipuram is a historic and holy city, known for its numerous beautiful temples. Sightseeing tour in Kanchipuram will include the temples of Vaikunda Perumal, Kailasanatha, Ekambareswara and Varatharaja.Reach Mahabalipuram and check into your hotel. Later, you will visit the shore temples of Mahabalipuram. Stay overnight at hotel in Mahabalipuram. Overnight: Hotel Day 4: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry After the tour of some of the important historical monuments and places, it's time to tour Pondicherry that brings back the memories of the French colonial days. The colonial influence is still visible in architecture, language and customs. The sightseeing at Pondicherry includes the Auroville and Aurobindo Ashram, along with some other monuments, museums and temples. The Aurovindo Ashram is a splendid example of peace, tolerance and growth. It is a popular center of Yoga and Meditation. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pondicherry. Overnight: Hotel Day 5: Pondicherry - Swamimalai -Tanjore After breakfast you will be driven to Tanjore/ Thanjavur. Enroute visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple located in the township of Swamimalai, 5 km from Kumbakonam on the banks of a tributary of river Cauvery. Reach Tanjore and check into your hotel for an overnight rest. Overnight: Hotel Day 6: Tanjore - Rameshwaram This morning visit Tanjore is yet another famous temple town in South India. The most famous of all the temples at Tanjore is the Brihadeeswara temple. The visit to Tanjore follows drive to Tiruchirappalli. Tiruchirapalli / Trichy has many historic temples, monuments, churches and mosques. Later drive to Rameshwaram. Reach and check into your hotel for an overnight rest. Overnight: Hotel Day 7: Rameshwaram - Tiruchendur -Kanyakumari Early morning visit Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is an important Hindu pilgrimage center. It is associated with Lord Rama and Shiva. According to mythology, one can achieve Moksha by visiting the temples here with utmost devotion. Later drive to Kanyakumari. Enroute visit Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murgae and one of the Arupadaiveedu (six major abodes) of Lord Muruga. Reach Kanyakumari and check into your hotel for an overnight rest. Overnight: Hotel Day 8: Kanyakumari - Madurai (Tiruparakundram & Pazhamudircholai) Early morning after breakfast visit Kanyakumari. Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam and Temple. Later drive to Madurai. Reach and check into your hotel. Freshen up and then visit Thirupparamkunram Murugan Temple & Pazhamudircholai. Pazhamudircholai is a Hindu temple located 10 miles north of Madurai, atop a hill covered with dense forests. Overnight: Hotel Day 9: Madurai-Palani-Madurai Full day Excursion to Palani. The Hill Temple of Palani is one of the most famous temples of Kartikeya. It is located in the town of Palani, 100 km southeast of Coimbatore and a similar distance northwest of Madurai, and in the foot-hills of the eponymous Palani Hills. At its foot is the Temple of Thiru-avinan-kudi, one of the Arupadaiveedu. Overnight: Hotel Day 10: Madurai - Trichy This morning visit Madurai. The most famous temple in Madurai is the Meenakshi temple. The Meenakshi temple has magnificent Gopurams and sculptures. The tour will also include visits to the Gandhi Museum and Thirumalai Nayak's Palace. Later drive to Trichy and check into your hotel upon arrival.
