Day 01 - Delhi
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Delhi.
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Gaumukh & Badrinath tour '!
On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel. Relax for a while and later proceed
for the sightseeing of Delhi.
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern
Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and
Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid,
one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the
cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive
past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 02 - Delhi -Haridwar- Rishikesh
This morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Rishikesh,
situated on the banks of the Ganges.
On the way stop at for sightseeing of Haridwar including the famous
Har - Ki - Pauri - means "The Footsteps of God".
Haridwar is also famous by the names of gangadwar, Mokshadwar, Tapovan
and Mayapuri. It is at Haridwar that the Ganga finaly energes into
the northern plains. Upon arrival check into your hotel and later
visit Har KKi Pauri
Har Ki Pairi Ghat: Har Ki Pairi ghat is the prime tourist attraction
of Haridwar. This wonderful riverside bank was constructed by King
Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. It is said that
all the sins that a mortal commits are washed out by bathing at
this river-bank. In the evening just when the Sun is about to go
down below the horizon, priests perform the religious rite on the
bank of the river. This is extremely scenic and people join in the
devotional song. After the ritual is over, small candles are floated
on the river. The place looks enchanting. The atmosphere is very
peaceful and you will surely love it.
Upon arrival in Rishikesh, check into your hotel for an overnight
stay.

Day 03 - Rishikesh - Karnaprayag- Joshimath
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Joshimath which is the
winter abode of Lord Badrinath. Enroute visit Karnaprayag. Karn
Prayag is one of five sites where the confluence of rivers occurs.
The five prayags are Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, Karanprayag, Rudraprayag
and Devprayag. Allahabad where the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati
join, is known as Prayag, and is one of the holy places of Hindu
pilgrimage. Karanprayag is believed by many to be the place where
Karna of the Mahabharata, was to have worshipped the Sun God. It
is the ancient temple, devoted to Uma and Karna.
Evening arrive at Joshimath and check into the hotel. The famous
temple of Lord Narasimha is about 1200 years old and is dedicated
to Lord Vishnu. The Presiding deity of the temple, Lord Narasimha,
half-man and half-lion, is believed to be the fourth avatar of Lord
Vishnu.

Day 04 - Joshimath - Govind Ghat - Ghangaria
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Govindghat. From here
start trekking to reach Ghangria also called GOVIND DHAM, the base
camp for Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers. Please note that camping
within the Valley of Flowers is not permitted.

Day 05 - Ghangaria
Trek to Valley of Flower (3 km) spend the whole day.
Valley of Flowers: It was discovered accidentally by
Frank S. Smith in 1931 after he lost his way on a trek back to his
base. It was fully explored by botanist Margaret Legge in 1939 but
unfortunately she lost her life in a landslide soon after. Spread
over an area of over 87.50 sq km, the Valley of Flowers was declared
a national park in 1982. It was acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in 1988.
It is as full of flowers as of exotic animal species and birds.
It is a sight to watch, explore and absorb. The valley is a riot
of colors and fragrances so unique and exotic that one needs an
entire day.
In the evening return back to Ghangaria for an overnight rest.

Day 06 - Ghangaria - Govind Ghat - Badrinath
On the day 6 of your tour drive towards Govindghat (14kms),
the place from where the slope to the Valley of Flowers begins.
Cross the bridge over Alaknanda and trek towards Pulna village .
Arrive Badrinath. Relax and take some refreshments and then Visit
Badrinath temple.

Day 07 - Badrinath - Auli
This morning after a leasiurely breakfast depart to Auli (its
a Beautiful place known for its ski slopes and some famous peak
can be seen from this place). Check into your hotel upon arrival.
Day excursion to Tapovana a hot spring.

Day 8 - Auli
Full day at leisure to enjoy the Alpine Bugyals (Meadows) of
Auli. Day excursion to Gorson, which offers a picturesque view of
the Himalayan range. Cradled in snow white Garhwal Himalayas, Auli
is amongst the most well known skiing resorts of India. Auli offers
breathtaking 180 degree views of surrounding higher Himalayan peaks
like Nanda Devi (7, 817 m), Kamet (7, 756 m), Mana Parvat (7, 273
m) and Dunagiri (7, 066 m).
Situated between altitude range of 2, 500 - 3, 050 meters above
the sea level.

Day 09 - Auli - Chopta
After breakfast departure from Auli to Chopta (this place is
known for its scenic beauty) stay in campsite
Overnight: Camp
Day 10 - Chopta
Excursion to Tung Nath temple, it is the highest Lord Shiva
shrine in this region. Located in North Sikkim district, Chopta
Valley is a wonderful place to experience. One can easily reach
Chopta Valley from Mangan via Thangu. From Thangu, it is just a
45 minutes drive to Chopta Valley.

Day 11 - Chopta - Rudraprayag
After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag. Check into your hotel.
The whole expanse of Rudraprayag is exalted with enormous splendor,
many destinations of religious significance and glaciers. Named
after Lord Shivas Rudra avatar, Rudraprayag has the fortune
of being the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Rudraprayag
is known as the last stoppage point before pilgrimage treks to Kedarnath
and Badrinath. Rudraprayag is dotted with temples which are significant
from archeological as well as religious points of view.

Day 12 - Rudrapryag - Uttarkashi
Early morning after breakfast leave Rudraprayag for Uttarkashi.
Evening visit to the Vishwanath temple. Uttarkashi that lies at
a distance of 120 kms and it takes 4-5 hrs to reach there. On the
way, you will visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Attend the
evening arti at the temple. Enjoy

Day 13 - Uttarkashi- Gangotri
After breakfast drive to Gangotri. This lovely drive would take
4 to 5 hrs, but the picturesque vistas will never let you bored.
On reaching Gangotri, check into your hotel. Relax for a while and
then take a holy dip in the river and perform the rituals at the
temple. Explore the valley and visit Gangotri shrine.

Day 14 - Gangotri - Bhojbassa
Morning after breakfast visit the famous Gangotri temple. Later
we trek to Bhojbasa. The entire trek today is along the roaring
bhagirathi river. Arrive Bhojbasa and camp. Afternoon free to explore
the area and to enjoy excellent sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks

Day 15 - Bhojbassa - Gaumukh
After breakfast trek to Gaumukh, Morning enjoy the panoramic
view of Bhagirathi group of peaks.The source of the Ganges.

Day 16 - Gaumukh
Explore this beautiful landscape, Gaumukh glacier and peaks
like Shivling and Bhagirathi.

Day 17 - Gaumukh - Gangotri - Dharali
Trek down to Gangotri and then drive to Dharali stay at beautiful
campsite surrounded by Apple and Almond orchids on the bank of the
river Ganga.
Overnight: Camp
Day 18 - Dharali
Day free for exploration of beautiful valley and some old villages.
Dharali is after harsil the most lovely river side stay you can
imagine in Uttaranchal Gangotri area.The Mukhba village atop across
the ganga is the place where the priests of gangotri stay and has
a ancient ganga mandir here.Opposite to it is the easy trek to saat
Taal ,Shrikhant peak through dense devdars and apple orchards,with
small ponds you encounter at each flat level till you reach the
peak..most go till first two only!

Day 19 - Dharali - Rishikesh
This morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Check into
your hotel upon arrival and the visit Rishikesh.
Rishikesh, also known as the 'place of sages' is Haridwar, at the
confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is believed that God
by the name of 'Hrishikesh' had appeared as an answer to the hard
penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth the place derived its name.
Rest for a while and then, visit Rishikesh which included visit
to Laxman Jhula, am Jhula, Bharat Mandir etc.
Laxman Jhula :- one of the biggest tourist attractions in Rishikesh,
Laxman Jhula is a suspended bridge on the Ganges. Legend has it
that Laxman had crossed the river Ganges at this spot on a bridge
of ropes. Now a suspended iron bridge 450 ft long, built in 1939
exists here. The Laxman Jhula is something you cannot simply miss
on a tour to Rishikesh.
Ram Jhula :- another suspended bridge between Shivanand Ashram and
Sawarg Ashram, Ram Jhula has been named after Laxmans elder
brother Ram.
Bharat Mandir :- built by Adiguru Shankracharya, the Hindu saint
in 12th century, this is the oldest temple in Rishikesh. It is located
on the bank of river Ganges in the old town and is dedicated to
Lord Vishnu, whose idol carved out of a single 'Salagram' stands
here.
Rishikund :- Legend has it that, the river Goddess Yamuna was so
pleased with the saint Kubz that she filled this tank with water.
Nilkanth Mahadeo :- according to Hindu mythology when the ocean
was being churned out for amrit by the gods and the
demons, it was venom that first oozed out. This venom was swallowed
by Lord Shiva at this spot and the place got its name from that
event.

Day 20 - Rishikesh - Delhi
This morning after breakfast you will drive back to Delhi. On
arrival in-time transfer to Internaitonal airport to board the flight
for onward journey onward journey to back home with sweet and unforgettable
memories of 'Gaumukh &Badrinath' tour escorted by Vardhman Vacation.
