Tour,the Deccan Odyssey Train was first introduced in
Jan,2004 on 7 Nights tourist circuit Ex.Mumbai & has
option to book for minimum 3 Nights also e.g. Mumbai/Goa.
This Luxury Maharaja Train is a joint venture between
Indian Railways & Maharashtra Tourism & onboard
services are managed by staff of internationally renowned
Taj Group of Hotels.
This Royal train tries to recreate the Era of Peshwas-medieval
time Feudal Lords of Western India & there are additional
facilities of Presidential Suite Cabins,Spa & Massage
treatments,Conference Lounge Car,Business Centre etc.
The 7 Nights Deccan Odyssey Train Tour operates Annually
from October to April Ex. Mumbai every Wednesday &
highlight of the Luxury Train Tour are the Golden beaches
of Goa & World Heritage Cave sites of Ajanta Ellora.

WED: Day 1 : MUMBAI Depart:
Train departs from CST Railway Station,Fort Area,Mumbai
by 1630 hrs.
THURS: Day 2 : GANPATIPHULE BEACH
Morning visit Ratnagiri town & museum;Noon free at
virgin Ganpatiphule beach & outdoors lunch;Afternoon
backwater cruise from Jaigadh Fort jetty.
FRI: Day 3 : TARKARLI BACKWATERS
Morning visit late 17th century built Sindhudurg sea-fort
& later outdoor lunch arranged at Tarkarli beach.
Afternoon enjoy Tarkarli backwaters cruise.Evening visit
Sawantwadi Cultural Centre.
SAT: Day 4 : GOA
Day free at internationally famous vacation spot for rich
& famous.
SUN: Day 5 : KOLHAPUR & PUNE
Morning visit to temples & palaces of Kolhapur &
evening visit to Kelkar cultural museum of Pune.
MON: Day 6 : AURANGABAD & ELLORA
Morning visit 14th century Aurangabad Fort & World
Famous 8th century Ellora cave sculptures.
TUE: Day 7 : AJANTA CAVES & NASIK
Morning drive to 2nd century B.C. Buddhist cave frescoes
of Ajanta & evening visit Nasik Hindu temple town.
WED: Day 8 : MUMBAI Return
Morning 0745 hrs arrival in Mumbai.
The Air-Conditioned Luxury Train Tour offers combination
of richly furnished Deluxe Cabins & Presidential Suites;
& All Passenger Cabins have private attached toilets
with shower cubicles & daily refurbished with 5 Star
hotel quality toiletries. There are Two Dining Cars,One
Bar Saloon with smoking lounge area, Conference Area/recreation
saloon with small Business Centre,Spa Saloon with mini-gym.
Each passenger Saloon has four Deluxe Cabins & is
serviced by a private attendant/ butler,who looks after
tea/coffee service & housekeeping.
The tour cost per day includes: stay,travel,meals,excursions

The Deccan Odyssey criss-crosses the Indian Deccan Plateau
over 2400 km(1500 miles) in Eight days.You visit each
destination of interest in the day time with guides &
return to the train in the late afternoon to resume overnight
