Day 1 Arrive Delhi

Begin your Tour.
Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's "The Great Desert Adventure Tour"!
On arrival in Delhi, you will will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Relax for a while and then proceed for the sightseeing of Delhi.

Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.

Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi- Mandawa

This morning after breakfast drive to Mandawa.
Upon arrival at Mandawa check into your hotel. Later proceed for city tour of Mandawa.
Visit Mandwa, found in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants. See beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle, one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a hotel and house of collections of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum. A walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country.

Day 3 Mandawa- Bikaner

After breakfast drive to Bikaner. Upon arrival at Bikaner check into your hotel.
Later visit Bikaner.
Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. Long before this, the city was a trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner’s dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 kms. wall, which can be entered from 5 gates. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple.

Day 4 Bikaner - Jaisalmer

Today after breakfast drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer check in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 Jaisalmer

After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone. The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate balconies. Visit the JAISALMER FORT - The oldest living Fort in the world.

Day 6 Jaisalmer-Jodhpur

Today after breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival at Jodhpur check into your hotel. Afternoon proceed for the city tour.
Visit the fort , Jaswant Thara, Mandore Gardens. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Hotel

Day 7 Jodhpur-Udaipur

After breakfast drive to Udaipur. Enroute visit Ranakpur Jain temples. Upon arrival at Udaipur check into your hotel.

Day 8 Udaipur

Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the fort, Sahelion -ki -bari. Puppet museum etc.
Evening enjoy (at your own cost) boatride on the lake. A most memorable boat ride with the reflections of the majestic lake palace at its best against the setting sun.

Day 9 Udaipur-Jaipur

This morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10 Jaipur

Morning excursion to the Amber fort. Enjoy the elephant back ascent to the fort.
City tour of Jaipur
Visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.
Optional: Lunch at a Heritage hotel with Tonga ride or explore the market & shop for special bargains! .

Day 11 Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

After breakfast at the hotel leave for Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri: The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it's grandeur. Also visit the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.
On arrival at Agra, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12 Agra-Delhi

City tour of Agra.
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!.

Later in the late afternoon drive back to Delhi International airport to board flight for your onward destination to back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of your "The Great Desert Adventure Tour" escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
