Day 1 Cochin

Begin your tour
Welcome to your "Kerala Tour.
Begin your tour! Arrive into Cochin Welcome to your "Spice Tour of Kerala. Vardhman's representative will meet & greet you at the airport/Railway Station and transfer to your prebooked hotel. Rest of the day free at your own pace.

Day 2 Cochin

After breakfast proceed on a city sightseeing tour of Cochin, Kerala's commercial center, it has a fine natural harbour. Cochin (Kochi) gateway for Kerala is famous for Mattanchery Palace, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolghatty Island, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cruising on the back-waters provides glimpses of the rural life, fine view of the harbour and three islands.

Day 3 Cochin - Alleppey

To experience the best of Kerala, go aboard an exciting houseboat cruise along the Kerala backwaters. Morning drive to Alleppey and check in to the houseboat on arrival. The overnight cruise takes you through Alleppey allowing you to enjoy serene surroundings en route. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served on board. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by getting a glimpse of the village life from a close quarter. Enjoy the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. It will definitely be a unique and unforgettable experience for your lifetime.

Day 4 Alleppey – Thekkady

This morning after breakfast, drive to the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar / Thekkady. Thekkady is a wonderful place to visit during a trip to Kerala. Indeed, tours to Thekkady is fast gaining popularity with every passing day. Enjoy an evening game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. This will enable you to have a close look at the park's large variety of wildlife including elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar and birds.

Day 5 Thekkady - Munnar

Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to Munnar (145 Kms; 4 hrs drive), Munnar – “Nature lover’s paradise” drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar, a popular getaway retreat. Surrounded by lush green tea estates, this picturesque hill station boosts of exotic flora and fauna. On arrival check into your hotel.

Day 6 Munnar

Morning after breakfast Munnar sightseeing Visit Tea Museum: - The museum set up at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar the Tata Tea Museum diligently portrays the growth of Munnar tea estates, veritably conveyed through some of the displays like the rudimentary tea roller to the modern fully automated tea factory. Visitors to the museum can satiate their curiosity on various stages of tea processing, and also learn a thing or two about the production of black tea. visit Eravikulam park The main inhabitant of the Eravikulam park is NilgiriTahr. Now the park has the largest known population of Tahrs existing in the world.

Day 7 Munnar - Athirapally - Cochin

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Athirapally & Vazhachal Waterfalls. The picturesque Sholayar forest ranges give way to the majestic Athirapally & Vazhachal Waterfalls, that joins the Chalakudy River after plummeting down from 80 feet. These stunning falls are an absolute treat for the eyes, especially during the monsoon, when the cool spray of water makes Athirapally a more scenic and peaceful spot. The place offers a restful escape to those living in crowded cities and give them a very calm and serene experience in the midst of sizzling weather. Athirapally is the land of rivers, forest, and great waterfalls and it houses some of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Kerala. This twin waterfall is a major tourist attraction in Trichur District and is located on the edge of Sholayar ranges, which is beautifully intertwined with lush green forest cover and sizzling cascades. This waterfall is one of several scenic waterfalls in Kerala, that are important to the local tourism industry. So, the local communities along with Chalakudy River banded the construction of a hydroelectric dam, proposed by the government to be built upstream from Athirapally. The dam would have destroyed the critical habitat of many important plant and animal species, including the rare Cochin Forest Cane Turtle, the endangered Great Indian Hornbill, the Lion-Tailed Macaque, and the Nilgiri Langur. Continue drive to Cochin.

Day 8 Cochin Departure

Morning after breakfast, check out, according to your Train / Flight timing and the tour ends with a departure transfer to Cochin railway station/ Airport for your onward journey to back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of Spice Tour of Kerala! escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
