Great Indian Wildlife Tour

The Great Indian Wildlife Tour is a wonderful mix of India’s rich jungles and its famous heritage cities. Over 15 nights / 16 days, this journey takes you from the buzzing capital Delhi to the royal city of Jaipur, the tiger territories of Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh and Kanha, the bird paradise of Bharatpur, and the iconic monuments of Agra.

This tour is ideal for travellers who want to see tigers, birds, and other wildlife, while also exploring forts, palaces, and the Taj Mahal. It combines adventure, nature, and culture in one well-planned route.

Journey Through Nature and Heritage

Your trip begins in Delhi, where you explore a blend of old-world charm and modern city life. Historic spots like Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk set the tone for your Indian experience.

From Delhi, you travel to Jaipur, the “Pink City”. Here you visit Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, enjoying royal architecture, colourful markets, and traditional Rajasthani culture before heading into the wild.

Tiger Safaris and Jungle Experiences

The wildlife section of the tour starts with Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s best-known tiger reserves. Morning and evening jeep safaris offer good chances of spotting Royal Bengal tigers, along with sambar, chital, nilgai, wild boar, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. The dramatic backdrop of the Ranthambore Fort and forest lakes creates a very scenic safari experience.

Later in the tour, you spend several days in Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks in Madhya Pradesh. These are classic central Indian forests known for tiger sightings, barasingha (swamp deer), leopards, and rich birdlife. Multiple game drives give you ample opportunity to explore different zones of the parks and increase your chances of spotting wildlife.

Birdwatching at Bharatpur & Wonders of Agra

In between tiger reserves, the tour takes you to Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana National Park), one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world. Here you can enjoy peaceful walks or rickshaw rides, spotting water birds, migratory species, herons, storks, and many other colourful birds in their natural wetland habitat.

The journey then continues to Agra, where you visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal, the impressive Agra Fort, and other Mughal monuments. On the way, you also explore the historical city of Fatehpur Sikri, known for its royal palaces and grand gateways. This part of the tour adds a strong cultural and historical flavour to your wildlife holiday.

A Well-Rounded Wildlife Holiday

By the end of the Great Indian Wildlife Tour, you will have experienced a wide variety of landscapes – from dense forests and open meadows to wetlands and historical cities. You enjoy a balanced mix of safari adventures, birdwatching, sightseeing, and leisurely travel days.

This tour suits nature lovers, photographers, families, and wildlife enthusiasts who want a complete Indian experience in one itinerary. It is a great choice if you wish to combine India’s iconic animals with its most famous monuments and royal cities in a single, memorable journey.
