After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Aurangabad, a city rich in history and home to some of India’s most magnificent ancient cave monuments.
Begin your day with a visit to the Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site), an extraordinary complex of 34 rock-cut temples and monasteries carved into the Charanandri Hills. These caves represent three major faiths — Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism — coexisting harmoniously. Marvel at the stunning Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), a monolithic structure dedicated to Lord Shiva, renowned for its architectural grandeur and intricate sculptures.

Begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Gateway of India, built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. From here, you may take an optional ferry ride to the Elephanta Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site), located on an island about 10 km from the shore, featuring magnificent rock-cut sculptures dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Return to the mainland and continue your tour with visits to the Prince of Wales Museum (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya), showcasing an exquisite collection of ancient artifacts, sculptures, and paintings.
